The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Pierre tries for a takedown but Carwin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Carwin tests St Pierre's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Carwin lands with a right hand.
St Pierre wants to clinch.
Nice jab there from Carwin.
Carwin fails to land with a series of punches.
Chris Carwin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carwin lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Carwin fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches St Pierre on the side of the head.
Carwin connects with a good right hand that stumbles St Pierre. St Pierre circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Carwin keeps the fight on the outside.
Carwin avoids the head kick by St Pierre.
St Pierre shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Carwin pinned against the cage. Carwin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Carwin connects with a looping right hand.
Carwin works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
A left lands for Carwin.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

St Pierre shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Carwin pinned against the cage. Carwin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Chris Carwin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John St Pierre.
St Pierre looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

St Pierre is rocked!
St Pierre is trying desperately to land a takedown but Carwin is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for St Pierre.
Carwin cracks St Pierre with a left hook right on the temple and St Pierre goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Carwin lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully St Pierre is OK!
