Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Moxon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva's entrance music is No Sunshine. A fine choice. Jonathan Moxon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moxon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Silva was well out of range. Poor timing from Moxon.
Jonathan Moxon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva throws a head kick that misses.

Moxon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Moxon goes for an armbar but Silva turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Silva.

Moxon had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Silva defends it easily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Moxon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Silva manages to get himself to full guard.
Moxon wants to pass the guard but Silva is keeping the position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Moxon is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Silva to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Silva shrugs it off.

Moxon swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Silva is now in Moxon's guard. A big mistake from Moxon there, giving up the dominant position!

Silva throws a sloppy head kick and Moxon moves out of range easily.

Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Moxon drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Moxon looks up at the clock and then as Silva takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Moxon smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Moxon wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Silva, who protects the arm well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Moxon tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Moxon has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Moxon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Silva is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Silva prevents Moxon from moving into mount.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Moxon has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Silva is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Moxon yanks on the arm and Silva is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Moxon.
