Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cameron Dollar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Rizzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rizzo has chosen Trance as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cameron Dollar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, George Rizzo!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, David Schapiro and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rizzo throws a shot from downtown. Dollar moves away and avoids it.
George Rizzo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rizzo connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Dollar momentarily.
Rizzo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dollar circles away quickly and effectively.
Rizzo lands an overhand right.

Dollar darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Dollar wants to take a breather but Rizzo is having none of it.
Dollar is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Dollar works his foot free and advances to mount.
Rizzo in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

Rizzo tries to hold on but Dollar pushes him away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dollar scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Rizzo wants to control but Dollar is having none of it.
Rizzo is trying desperately to improve position.

Dollar jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Rizzo manages to avoid the submission attempt.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Rizzo is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rizzo is looking for a sweep.

Dollar is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rizzo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Dollar throws a strike aimed at the side of Rizzo's head but Rizzo avoids it well.
Rizzo tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Rizzo gets back to half guard.
Rizzo slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Rizzo controls Dollar momentarily but Dollar frees himself.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dollar accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Dollar trying to control the position from guard on top but Rizzo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Dollar is looking to work some ground and pound but Rizzo has wrist control.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Rizzo connects with a good right hand that stumbles Dollar. Dollar circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Rizzo throws the left hand but Dollar avoids the punch easily.
Dollar scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Rizzo misses with a wild combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cameron Dollar dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Dollar shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Rizzo scores with a body shot.
Rizzo lands a glancing blow to the side of Dollar's head.

Rizzo works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Rizzo bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Dollar's head backwards.
Rizzo throws out a loose jab but Dollar uses good head movement to avoid it.
Rizzo gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Dollar.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dollar.
Rizzo misses with a two punch combination.
Nice shot lands for Rizzo.
Rizzo keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Rizzo throws a looping overhand right but Dollar ducks down to avoid it.
Rizzo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Dollar closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Rizzo did well to prevent Dollar getting side control.

Dollar seems to be working for a kimura but Rizzo defends the submission attempt.
Rizzo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dollar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rizzo is trying to stand back up but Dollar is controlling him
Dollar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Dollar is trying to control the action in half guard but Rizzo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Dollar is looking for a kimura but Rizzo is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dollar to get the leverage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Dollar fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cameron Dollar. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Rizzo throws a head kick that half lands.

Dollar shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rizzo as he avoids it easily.

Dollar shoots in for a takedown but Rizzo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Dollar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rizzo tries to avoid it but Dollar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rizzo to the ground. Rizzo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Rizzo fails to land with a series of punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Cameron Dollar will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!



Dollar looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Rizzo!
Rizzo is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Rizzo wants to try and get back to his feet.
Dollar pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Cameron Dollar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Dollar can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rizzo is looking to escape.

Dollar is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Rizzo can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Dollar is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Rizzo is surviving well by controlling Dollar's body position as best he can.
Rizzo is trying to escape the mount.
Dollar takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Rizzo's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Rizzo wants to control but Dollar is having none of it.
Rizzo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Dollar is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Rizzo can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dollar, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
