The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stratton decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Revben scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Stratton manages to mount him!
Revben sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Revben wants to improve his position but Stratton is controlling well.
Stratton wants to free his trapped foot but Revben is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Stratton is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Revben manages to get to full guard.
Stratton avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Stratton misses with a takedown attempt - Revben sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Revben tries to clinch up but Stratton circles away and keeps his distance.

Stratton shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Stratton was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Stratton stands up from mount. Strange move.
Lucky Stratton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Revben wants to clinch.
Revben just misses with a punch to the body.

Stratton scores with a shot to the body.
Stratton throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Revben was covering up waiting for the punch and Stratton finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Stratton stands and throws Revben's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Stratton is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Revben looks calm but he's in trouble here. Stratton gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Revben is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Stratton lets go of the hold and Revben can pop his arm back in it's socket.
