PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Crap bag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Balanced Fighter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fighter has chosen Reper Sjava - Otdohaem Horosho as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Crap bag!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Balanced Fighter!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Luis Engracia and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fighter throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Fighter fails with the takedown.

Balanced Fighter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fighter misses with a wild combination.
Fighter lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Fighter.
bag swats away the attempt to clinch by Fighter.

bag scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
bag cracks Fighter with a big right hand but Fighter just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Fighter avoids any damage from the ground and pound of bag.

bag has hold of Fighter's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Fighter manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

bag has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

bag struggling to keep hold of the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
bag is really struggling to control Fighter but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Despite being in a bad position, Fighter is controlling the hands, preventing any submission attempts.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

bag perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
bag trying to control from half guard but Fighter is working away.

bag wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fighter keeps working.

Fighter is holding on to half guard well.
bag is stalling here. Fighter is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! bag seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Fighter has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Crap bag just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

bag has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Fighter uses from the top position.
