The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suarez pivots, looking for a leg kick but Swick is out of range and Suarez settles back down.
Suarez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Suarez swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Swick.

It looks like Mike Swick has been cut.
Swick looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Suarez tries to bum rush Swick with a series of wild strikes but Swick uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Swick shoots for a takedown but Suarez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Suarez stuffs the takedown.
Giani Suarez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Swick.
Suarez throws a right hand that Swick ducks under and follows up with a left that Swick also avoids with ease.
Suarez looks to land a combination but Swick avoids it well.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Swick.
Giani Suarez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Swick tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Suarez swivels and escapes.
Suarez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Swick circles away quickly and effectively.
Swick fails with a takedown attempt.
Swick blocks a head kick by Suarez.
Swick throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Suarez's waist but Suarez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Swick off to one side.
Suarez drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Swick right on the button. Swick goes down! Suarez follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Suarez gets the win via TKO!
