PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jorjao Buxudo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Reykyavik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buxudo comes to the cage accompanied by Pé na Porta, Soco na Cara - Matanza. Reykyavik has chosen Oy To Ne Vecher as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jorjao Buxudo is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jorjao Buxudo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Peter Reykyavik!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Felipe Paraventi and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reykyavik is trying hard to land a takedown here. Buxudo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Buxudo scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Buxudo thuds his right hand into Reykyavik's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Buxudo thows a body shot but no joy.
Buxudo keeps the fight on the outside.
Buxudo jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Buxudo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Buxudo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Reykyavik is in all sorts of trouble here.

Buxudo is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Reykyavik has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Buxudo drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Reykyavik dives on top into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Buxudo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Reykyavik is aware though and is defending well.

Buxudo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Reykyavik drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Reykyavik jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Buxudo throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Reykyavik escapes and throws Buxudo's legs to the side, diving into side control!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
You can see the frustration on Buxudo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

I think Reykyavik has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
