Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adam Kane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tommy Gunn!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kane throws a nice inside leg kick.
Gunn dodges the punch combination from Kane.
Gunn lands with a nice combination. Kane backs away looking to recover.
Kane cracks the inside of Gunn's front leg.
Gunn looks gassed!
Kane looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kane throws an overhand right that lands on Gunn's shoulder, as Gunn tries to avoid the shot.
Kane connects with a looping right hand.


It looks like Tommy Gunn has been cut.
Kane throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kane misses with a double jab
and Gunn counters with a series of strikes. Kane will be more careful next time no doubt.
Kane throws a combination that misses

and Gunn counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Kane controlling the position.
Kane looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Gunn puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Gunn winds up and cracks Kane with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Gunn throwing shots but Kane is blocking nicely.

Kane desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Gunn missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Gunn is thwarting Kane's attempts to control the position.
Kane is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gunn's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gunn's back!

Kane is looking for the choke from the back position but Gunn is controlling his hands well.
Gunn holding both Kane 's hands and preventing any damage.
Gunn manages to reverse the position and now he's in Kane's guard. Nice work there by Gunn.
Kane tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Gunn wants to stand but Kane has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Kane has Gunn pulled in close to control his posture.
Gunn would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Gunn moves out of range as Kane strikes.
Gunn moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Gunn throws a shot to the body.
Kane keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Gunn swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Kane counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gunn won't be happy with that.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gunn tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Kane presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Gunn manages to regain half guard. Good work.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kane can do anything to dispel that myth.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kane prevents Gunn from improving his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gunn missing with punches from the bottom.
Kane prevents Gunn from standing back up.
Kane is nestled in close to Gunn, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Kane is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Gunn!

Kane takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Gunn is staying active underneath Kane, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gunn wants to get back to full guard.
Kane not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Gunn is looking to improve his position.
Gunn is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gunn is trying to get back to full guard.
Gunn missing with punches from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kane throws a left and a right that both miss

and Gunn counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Gunn wants to stand but Kane has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Gunn must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Kane lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Gunn!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gunn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kane. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Adam Kane will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Tommy Gunn's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Kane throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kane just misses with a punch to the body.
Kane bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.


Gunn is rocked!


The has opened up Tommy Gunn's cut even more.
Kane pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Gunn is still on wobbly legs! Can Kane finish him?
Kane fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Gunn will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kane scoring well with a low kick there.
Gunn seems to have recovered his senses.
Oh, that's a big right hand from Kane and Gunn goes tumbling to the canvas! Kane follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

Kane stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Gunn to get to his feet.
Kane throws an overhand right that drops Gunn like a sack of potatoes! Kane dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Adam Kane!
