Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Minotauro Nogueira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Skeeter Gator (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nogueira comes to the cage accompanied by The Rolling Stones - Gimme Shelter. Gator has chosen Drop it Like its Hot as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Skeeter Gator has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nogueira drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Gator is looking to regain half guard here but Nogueira keeps moving and retains side control.
Gator manages to get back to half guard.
Nogueira tries to pass to full mount but Gator defends it.

Nogueira is working for a submission of some sort.

Nogueira looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Gator is defending against the submission attempts here by Nogueira.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Nogueira in particular looking to stall.

Nogueira is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gator is just riding it out for now. Nogueira eventually gives up the hold.

Gator is looking to control Nogueira's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gator avoid being mounted?
Nogueira perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Gator tries to get to full guard but Nogueira has control of the leg.
Nogueira tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gator knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Gator is staying active underneath Nogueira, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Gator stuffs the takedown attempt from Nogueira. Nogueira gets slowly back to his feet.
Nogueira looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gator is fending him off so far but Nogueira persists. Nope, Gator circles away and we're back to standing.

Nogueira is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Gator knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Gator for a finish.
