Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Muay Thai Instructor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Simon Adebisi!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Ackerman and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adebisi shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Instructor thumps Adebisi with a low kick.
No luck for Adebisi with that takedown attempt.
Adebisi closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Instructor did well to prevent Adebisi getting side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Instructor has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Adebisi is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Adebisi trying to control from half guard but Instructor is working away.
Adebisi looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Adebisi is keen to just control but Instructor is a slippery customer.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Adebisi is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Instructor is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
