The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loxo comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Loxo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shaw moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Shaw throws a big shot that misses.
Loxo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Loxo's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Loxo duly obliges.

Shaw drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Shaw tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Shaw has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Loxo is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Loxo is looking for a sweep. Shaw is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Shaw dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Loxo tries to close the distance and clinch but Shaw swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Shaw has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Loxo doesn't defend quickly enough and Shaw has managed to lock this one up! Can Loxo escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Shaw on a fantastic submission victory.
