The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Demidoff looks to land a left hand but Mousasi moved out of range nicely.

Demidoff feints and as Mousasi raises his hands in defense, Demidoff changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Demidoff thows a big elbow that misses.
Mousasi avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Mousasi trying to keep a closed guard but Demidoff is proving a slippery customer.
Mousasi wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mousasi throws a push kick but Demidoff slaps the foot to one side.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Demidoff closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
