Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lambert throws a jab when Cyde was well out of range.
Lambert misses with a few strikes there.

No joy there for Lambert, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cyde tries to clinch up but Lambert circles away and keeps his distance.
Lambert moves out of range as Cyde throws a body kick.

Cyde bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Lambert is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Lambert swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A combination from Cyde does no damage.
Nice body punch from Lambert.

Lambert manages to pull guard.
Lambert keeping moving, preventing Cyde from controlling successfully.
Cyde stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lambert swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cyde is really struggling to control Lambert but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lambert throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Lambert throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cyde.
Lambert displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cyde.

Cyde tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lambert smiles and moves away.
Cyde closes the distance but Lambert moves to the side
and Cyde takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Cyde takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Mike Lambert seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Lambert counters by clinching up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Lambert dominated that round.
That's time! Cyde's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Lambert lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Lambert tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cyde was well out of range. Poor timing from Lambert.
Lambert catches Cyde with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Cyde jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lambert walks away with a smile on his face. Cyde gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Lambert gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Cyde counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Lambert swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Cyde.

and Lambert counters with a low kick, right behind Cyde 's knee.
Lambert lands a nice shot to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lambert connects with a body shot.
Lambert lands a nice hook to Cyde's body. Cyde takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Lambert lands a left and a right that send Cyde crashing to the mat, dazed. Lambert thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Cyde is rocked!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cyde drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Oh Cyde is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lambert scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Cyde seems to have got his legs back now.

Cyde takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Cyde takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Lambert cracks Cyde with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Cyde slips a jab and a cross from Lambert.
Cyde walks into a straight right hand from Lambert.

Lambert takes the fight into the clinch.

Lambert pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lambert connects with a looping right hand.
Lambert lands a nice looking body shot.
Lambert looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Cyde drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Mike Lambert seems to be getting the better of the standup.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lambert lands a left and a right that send Cyde crashing to the mat, dazed. Lambert thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Lambert drops Cyde with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Cyde! Lambert dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
