The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carty drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Mahmi is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Carty is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Carty looking to control but Mahmi is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Mahmi wants to control but Carty is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Carty unloads with some shots from mount but Mahmi bucks and avoids them well.

Mahmi tries to lock up and control but Carty gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mahmi is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Carty wants to control the pace but Mahmi is squirming around nicely.
Despite being in the dominant position, Mark Carty just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mahmi leaves Carty with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Carty tries to clinch but Mahmi moves out of range.
Mahmi bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
It looks like Mark Carty has been cut.

Carty takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Carty throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mahmi's waist but Mahmi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Carty off to one side.
Inyo Mahmi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Mahmi stuffs the takedown.
Inyo Mahmi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Carty.
Carty tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mahmi swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Mahmi cracks Carty with a hook to the temple - Carty is on wobbly legs here! Mahmi swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Carty falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Mahmi wins by TKO!
