Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Simon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shin Yamaguchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jordan Simon had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 146.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Shin Yamaguchi has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simon moves in looking to clinch but Yamaguchi pushes him off.
Jordan Simon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Simon misses the jab.
Yamaguchi scores with a three punch combo!

It looks like Jordan Simon has been cut.

and Yamaguchi counters with a series of strikes. Simon will be more careful next time no doubt.

Simon stuns Yamaguchi with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Oh Simon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Simon misses with an uppercut. Yamaguchi saw that one coming.

Simon fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Yamaguchi avoids it really well and circles away.
Simon is breathing heavily.
Yamaguchi connects with a single shot there.
Simon wants to clinch
and Yamaguchi counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Simon throws a looping overhand right but Yamaguchi ducks down to avoid it.

Yamaguchi throws a right and a left that Simon avoids nicely.
Simon takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Simon doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Yamaguchi scores with a one two! Simon had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Yamaguchi throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Simon stumbling backwards into the cage! Simon bounces back off the cage towards Yamaguchi, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Yamaguchi lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Yamaguchi celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
