Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Randy Lahey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Andrei Arlovski!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lahey scores with a takedown into Arlovski's guard.
Lahey wants to stand but Arlovski is controlling his posture from full guard.
Arlovski looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Lahey got a little sloppy there for a moment and Arlovski has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lahey has managed to get both his arms back between Arlovski's legs - danger averted.

Lahey drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lahey jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Arlovski escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lahey gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Arlovski is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Lahey really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Arlovski is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lahey defends well.

Arlovski had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lahey defends it easily.
Lahey passes Arlovski's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Arlovski looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Lahey is controlling the pace.
Lahey is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Arlovski makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Arlovski.

Arlovski has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lahey can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Arlovski is trying to control the position but Lahey postures up.
Arlovski wants to stand but Lahey is controlling the position.
Lahey has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Lahey will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Arlovski working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lahey doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lahey manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Arlovski avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Lahey is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Arlovski controls Lahey momentarily but Lahey frees himself.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Lahey wants to control from the top but Arlovski keeps moving.
Arlovski trying to keep a closed guard but Lahey is proving a slippery customer.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Arlovski wants to stand and escape but Lahey is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andrei Arlovski dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Randy Lahey's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Arlovski misses with a looping left.
Arlovski moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Lahey avoids a punch combination nicely.
A big right from Arlovski misses.
Lahey shoots in looking for a takedown. Arlovski tries to sprawl out of it but Lahey keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Arlovski manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A looping hook to the body misses from Arlovski. Lahey does a little dance to reset his feet.
Lahey fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Arlovski drops Lahey with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Lahey looks back up at him and smiles so Arlovski waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.


Lahey is rocked!


Randy Lahey's cut is getting worse.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lahey is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Arlovski doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Lahey crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Lahey's bad books for that mishap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Andrei Arlovski!
