The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jackson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
A looping hook to the body misses from Smith. Jackson does a little dance to reset his feet.
A combination from Jackson does no damage.
Jackson misses with a jab to the body

and Smith counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Jackson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jackson tries to get out of the position.
Jackson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Smith drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jackson dives on top into guard.
Jackson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Jackson throws a strike but Smith rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Jackson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Jackson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

It looks like Nate Smith has been cut.
Jackson connects with a nice cross there... Smith is looking wobbly and Jackson recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Smith to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Jackson jumps onto the ropes to celebrate with the crowd!
