Van Rijn is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Francesco Zappalà - No Way Out. Mike Van Rijn has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Rijn wants to clinch up but R keeps it at a distance.

R misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Van Rijn can do anything to dispel that myth.

and Van Rijn counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
R is breathing heavily.
R looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
R has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from R there as he acknowledges the shot.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fight stays on the outside here - Van Rijn looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
