The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al Hassan goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Al Hassan lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Chippy backs up against the cage.
Danga de danga de dang - Al Hassan scores with a four punch combination!
Nice uppercut there from Al Hassan.
Al Hassan lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Al Hassan fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Chippy is out of range.

Chippy looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Chippy is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Chippy is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Chippy is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chippy stops Al Hassan from getting back to his feet.
Al Hassan is trying to escape back to his feet but Chippy uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Al Hassan tries to buck Chippy off but Chippy is having none of it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Chippy tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Chippy is breathing heavily.
Al Hassan is looking to reverse the position.

Chippy has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Al Hassan is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Chippy yanks on the arm and Al Hassan is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Chippy.
