The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hitler looks to land a combination but Vasco avoids it well.
Hitler throws a jab but it's blocked by Vasco.
Hitler lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vasco circles away quickly and effectively.
Hitler misses with a hook. Vasco ducked under it nicely.
Vasco throws a nice looking combination but Hitler bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hitler takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Jab, jab by Vasco - just one landing.

Vasco scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Hitler moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Vasco really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hitler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Vasco gets to his feet - Hitler follows without any prompting.

Vasco shoots in and bounces Hitler off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Vasco got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hitler has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vasco has managed to get both his arms back between Hitler's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hitler lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Vasco!

Hitler looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Hitler goes for an armbar but Vasco turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Vasco.
Vasco tries to stand but Hitler is controlling from the bottom.

Hitler has momentary wrist control but Vasco slips an elbow through the middle.

Hitler is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Vasco defends well.
Vasco advances to half guard.
Vasco drops an elbow to the side of Hitler's head.
Hitler is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Vasco's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Vasco's back!
Hitler wants to control but Vasco is keeping busy.
Hitler is really struggling to control Vasco but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A close round but Thiago Vasco will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Vasco lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Vasco feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Hitler escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Vasco gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Vasco tries to free his leg and advance position but Hitler is retaining full guard.

Hitler kicks Vasco off and gets to his feet.
Vasco misses with a wild body shot.
Vasco connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Hitler shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Vasco as he jumps to the side.

Hitler shoots in and bounces Vasco off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Hitler won't allow Vasco to sweep him here.

Vasco is looking to stand up but Hitler isn't so interested in that idea.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vasco can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hitler tries for a kimura but Vasco is defending well.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hitler wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vasco keeps working.
Vasco is looking to reverse the position.
Hitler tries to score with some ground and pound. Vasco controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Hitler advances nicely into full mount.

Hitler is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Vasco has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Hitler looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Vasco has given up his back here.
Vasco is really stuck here.
Vasco has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Hitler.

Hitler working for a choke but Vasco is defending well.
Will Hitler go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Vasco has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Hitler to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Vasco is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Hitler pulls down on the head and he's put Vasco to sleep! This one is all over!
