Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jericho Kaine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elijah Coats (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kaine's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Amazing. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaine throws and low kick but Coats moves out of range easily.
Nice shot lands for Kaine.
Kaine fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Coats avoids it really well and circles away.
Kaine lands a body shot.
Kaine tries to clinch there but Coats circles away.
Kaine tries for a takedown but Coats sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Kaine gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Coats darts in and clinches Kaine up against the cage.

Coats misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Coats counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Coats slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Coats wants to stand but Kaine is controlling the position.
Kaine is looking to stand up but Coats won't let him.

Coats gets to his feet. Kaine looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Jericho Kaine is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Coats instigates a clinch.
Kaine is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Coats is defending well for now.

Coats gets control of Kaine's arms and successfully pulls guard. Coats will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Kaine is trying to get back to his feet but Coats has full control of the position and if anything, Kaine has just worked his way into a worse spot.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kaine controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

Coats really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Kaine.
Coats punches the canvas rather than the man.
Coats wants to control the position but Kaine frees himself and scrambles - Coats manages to regain control in side control.

Coats is trying to get an arm triangle but Kaine is defending well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Coats decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Coats seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Coats forces Kaine back against the cage and clinches.
Coats has Kaine pressed against the cage, preventing Kaine from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Coats breaks the clinch.
Coats looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kaine is fending him off so far but Coats persists. Nope, Kaine circles away and we're back to standing.

and Coats counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Kaine is lucky that one didn't land flush.

and Coats counters by moving into the clinch.
Coats changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kaine fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

and Coats finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Kaine changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Coats tries to avoid it but Kaine manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Coats to the ground. Coats escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Kaine blocks the body kick.
Coats has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Kaine misses with a low kick as Coats jumps back.

Coats throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kaine was covering up waiting for the punch and Coats finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Kaine wants to stand but Coats is controlling the position.
Coats advances to half guard.
Coats uses his free foot to push down on Kaine's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kaine.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well Coats has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
