Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Feodore Sabre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Lewis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Feodore Sabre!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis misses with a few strikes there.
Lewis fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sabre doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Sabre shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lewis as he avoids it easily.
Lewis tries to clinch but Sabre moves out of range.
Daniel Lewis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed right hand from Lewis misses the target.

Lewis cracks Sabre with a big right hand and Sabre goes down!


Sabre is rocked!


It looks like Feodore Sabre has been cut.
Sabre looks gassed!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lewis trying to control the position from guard on top but Sabre is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lewis is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Lewis wants to control from the top but Sabre keeps moving.
Sabre tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Sabre is pulling down on Lewis's head to control his posture.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Sabre is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Lewis's half guard.

Nice combo by Lewis! Oh, that's hurt him - Sabre falls to the canvas and Lewis follows him into side control.

Lewis tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lewis has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Sabre seems to have recovered his senses.
Lewis is chipping away with strikes.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Lewis and Sabre goes tumbling to the canvas! Lewis follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
Lewis is keen to just control but Sabre is a slippery customer.
Lewis seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Lewis is trying to control the action in half guard but Sabre is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Sabre wants to improve his position but Lewis is controlling well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Lewis misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lewis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Sabre shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lewis napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lewis is looking to stand up but Sabre isn't so interested in that idea.

Daniel Lewis is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Lewis is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sabre is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lewis, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
