The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Juarez moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Juarez shoots in for a takedown but Wizard shows good takedown defense.
Wizard has a takedown stuffed.
Juarez misses with a takedown attempt

and Wizard counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Wizard wants to pass to mount but Juarez is defending the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Juarez pushes Wizard off looking to stand but Wizard dives back in and keeps control.

Wizard is looking for a kimura but Juarez is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Wizard to get the leverage.

Wizard is trying to work for a kimura but Juarez is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wizard prevents Juarez from improving his position.
