Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Silvio Riscatelli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Mortis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Riscatelli comes to the cage accompanied by Speak Softly Love. Mortis has chosen Crush 'em by Megadeth as his entrance music. Kyle Mortis will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Riscatelli lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mortis doesn't seem phased though.
Mortis takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The fighters circling - Mortis throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Silvio Riscatelli seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mortis takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Mortis keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Mortis throws an overhand right that lands on Riscatelli's shoulder, as Riscatelli tries to avoid the shot.
Riscatelli cracks Mortis with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Mortis misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Riscatelli.
No joy there for Mortis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mortis throws a low kick but Riscatelli avoids it.
Mortis takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Riscatelli connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Riscatelli ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mortis moves away.

A solid leg kick lands there for Riscatelli.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Riscatelli bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Riscatelli lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Mortis looks gassed!
Riscatelli is looking to clinch but Mortis is avoiding it.
A jab from Riscatelli does it's job there.

An inside leg kick lands from Riscatelli.
Riscatelli lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
A nice inside leg kick there by Riscatelli. That's going to slow Mortis down.
Riscatelli throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mortis stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Mortis parries the strikes from Riscatelli easily there. Riscatelli is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Mortis to escape.

Riscatelli creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Mortis sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Riscatelli is trying to ground and pound but Mortis uses the momentary lack of control by Riscatelli to regain half guard.
Riscatelli thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Riscatelli is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mortis doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Riscatelli.
Mortis is refusing to be controlled, as Riscatelli sits in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mortis misses with a hook.
Mortis takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Mortis wants to slow Riscatelli down by chopping away at his legs.

Mortis chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Riscatelli can pounce on him.
Kyle Mortis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Riscatelli.
Mortis is breathing heavily.
Riscatelli dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mortis. That did some damage!

Mortis is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Riscatelli off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Riscatelli is riding his opponent, not letting Mortis buck him off.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Riscatelli. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Riscatelli is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Mortis. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
You can see the frustration on Mortis's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Mortis wants to escape the position.

What can Mortis do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Riscatelli has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Riscatelli bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mortis's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
A head kick misses from Mortis.
Mortis takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Mortis takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Mortis takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Riscatelli stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
