Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kung Lao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Brone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lao kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Rock Superstar by Cypress Hill. Brone is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by FINLANDIA by Jean Sibelius. Jason Brone has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kung Lao!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
14 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, Jason Brone!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Sam Margolis and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lao throws a sloppy head kick and Brone moves out of range easily.
Brone swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Brone looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Brone scores with a hook.
Lao pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Brone just misses with a punch to the body.
Brone tries to work over Lao's front leg with a kick but Lao checks it.
Brone cracks Lao with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Brone lands a jab to Lao's midsection.

and Brone counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kung Lao is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Brone shoots in but no luck this time.

Brone has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Lao throws a body punch but Brone moves out of range.

Lao walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Brone doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Lao counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Brone is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Brone is just content to waste time from the top position. Lao takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Brone tries to free his leg and advance position but Lao is retaining full guard.
Lao is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Brone slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Brone tries to score with some ground and pound. Lao controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Brone advances to full mount.
Lao in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

Brone goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Lao is on top in guard.
Brone isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Lao stacks Brone on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Lao!
Brone is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Lao wants to stand but Brone has his arm trapped.
Brone wants to control but Lao postures up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lao stands up.
Good shot there by Brone.
Brone catches Lao with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
A jab from Brone finds it's way through Lao's defenses.

Jason Brone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lao throws the kick towards the body but Brone avoids it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Brone scores with the left hand. Lao knows he should have avoided that one.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kung Lao will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Brone tries to bum rush Lao with a series of wild strikes but Lao uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Brone shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lao manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kung Lao will probably get the nod.

Brone takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Lao is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jason Brone has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Despite being in the dominant position, Jason Brone just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lao blocks a jab.
Kung Lao is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Brone lands a body shot.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
