Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fred Burton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and john couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burton comes into the arena with My Dying Bride - The Cry of Mankind blaring out of the sound system. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The judges for this bout are William Gold, Paul Tew and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
couture looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
couture shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Burton sprawls well. Burton wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. couture gets slowly back to his feet.
couture should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
couture looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Burton is trying to stand back up but couture is controlling him
couture thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Burton's head.
Burton looks like he's trying to stand up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Burton moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
It looks like john couture has been cut.
Burton rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but couture moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Burton scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Burton moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Burton swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by couture.
Burton cracks couture with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! couture looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Burton finish him?

couture tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Burton paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Burton scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. couture doesn't seem bothered though.
couture looks gassed!
Burton jabs at couture's body.
Burton lands a big right hand that sends couture crashing to the mat! Burton stays standing though and waves couture back to his feet!
Burton lands with a right and another and another! couture is in big trouble! Burton lands again and this time it's lights out for couture! A quality knockout there for Burton.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Fred Burton!
