Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between JC DQ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ricardo Silva was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Silva.
Silva tries to clinch up.

DQ connects with a right hand. Silva shakes it off.
DQ misses with a takedown attempt - Silva sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

DQ takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Silva shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches DQ napping and manages to drive through into side control!

DQ is trying to control Silva's posture but Silva avoids it.
DQ is trying to escape the position but Silva is controlling the position.
Silva cracks DQ with a big elbow.
Silva remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Silva grinds an elbow into DQ's temple.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Let's hope that Silva has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Silva lands with a big left! DQ is wobbled badly! Silva comes in with a flurry of punches and drops DQ to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
