Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joshua Boyken!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tim Marks!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Bruno Lombardi and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyken tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Marks swivels and escapes.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Marks shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Boyken defends it nicely.

Boyken throws a series of punches but Marks avoids them all with ease.

Boyken tries to clinch but Marks is having none of it.

Boyken feints and then cracks Marks's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Marks down.

Boyken gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Marks with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Boyken working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Marks doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Marks manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Marks closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Well, if Marks is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Boyken is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Marks scores with a couple of nice shots.
Boyken is staying active underneath Marks, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
