The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vandelay lands a nice looking body kick.
Starks fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Vandelay wants to clinch.
Vandelay delivers a nice body kick.
Starks is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Vandelay lands a left and a right that send Starks crashing to the mat, dazed. Vandelay thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Andy Starks has been cut.
Starks takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Vandelay lands a big uppercut and Starks crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Starks looks OK. Vandelay waves Starks back to his feet!

Starks is rocked!
Starks takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Oh Starks is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vandelay tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Vandelay clinches up with Starks and pushes him back against the cage.
Starks seems to have got his legs back now.

Starks takes an elbow to the temple.

Vandelay breaks from the clinch.

Vandelay takes the fight into the clinch.

Starks fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Vandelay lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Starks or not.
Vandelay with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

Vandelay manages to break the clinch.

Starks takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Art Vandelay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Vandelay closes the distance and clinches.

Starks tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Vandelay's elbow.

Vandelay manages to break the clinch.
Vandelay stuns Starks with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Vandelay throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Vandelay darts in and clinches Starks up against the cage.

Vandelay breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Starks jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Starks swats away the attempt to clinch by Vandelay.
Vandelay is looking to chop away at Starks's legs.
Starks looks to land a left hand but Vandelay moved out of range nicely.
Vandelay avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Vandelay lunges at Starks with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Starks's hand.

Andy Starks's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Vandelay drops Starks with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Starks looks back up at him and smiles so Vandelay waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Jeez, Andy Starks's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

Vandelay forces Starks back against the cage and clinches.
Vandelay blocks a punch to the side of the head.
A short body shot lands from Vandelay as the two fighters clinch.
Starks blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Vandelay scores with a shot to the side of Starks's head.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Andy Starks's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
