The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Martinez has taken the fight to the clinch.
Pardy lands with a left to the head.
Pardy lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Martinez backwards.
Pardy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pardy circles away from the clinch attempt.
Pardy lands with a thumping leg kick.
Pardy gets a clinch.
Martinez is trying to break free.
Martinez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Leo Pardy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Martinez doesn't manage to clinch there - Pardy circles away.
Pardy misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Pardy throws a hook but Martinez avoids it easily.
Martinez throws a series of strikes that have Pardy backpedaling.
Martinez throws a head kick that misses.
Martinez is looking to clinch.
Pardy throws a left and a right that both miss
and Martinez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Pardy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Martinez paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Pardy throws a half hearted mid kick.
Pardy throws a head kick that misses
and Martinez counters with a head kick. That will keep Pardy thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pardy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pardy circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Martinez drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Pardy follows Martinez to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
