The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Andrew Berry and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grundy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Anderson sprawls well. Anderson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Grundy gets slowly back to his feet.

Anderson closes the distance and clinches.

Grundy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Grundy moves in looking to clinch but Anderson pushes him off.

and Grundy counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Grundy tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Anderson smiles and moves away.

enabling Anderson to counter with a crisp jab.


It looks like Dan Grundy has been cut.
Anderson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Grundy fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Anderson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Grundy defends it nicely.

Anderson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Grundy paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Anderson finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Anderson darts in and clinches Grundy up against the cage.
Anderson tries to pull guard but Grundy holds him up against the cage and eventually Anderson drops back down to his feet.

Anderson wants the takedown. Grundy is fighting it off but Anderson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Grundy's guard against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Anderson is looking to work some ground and pound but Grundy has wrist control.

Anderson decides to stand back up. Anderson steps back and let's Grundy get back to his feet.
Dan Grundy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Anderson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Grundy manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Anderson has Grundy in his guard.

Grundy shoots and misses
and Anderson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Grundy shoots for a takedown but Anderson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Grundy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Anderson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Grundy wants to improve his position but Anderson is controlling well.

Grundy is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Anderson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Anderson's back!
