Ruthman comes to the cage accompanied by Special Teamz - Get Down. The crowd seem to be enjoying Morleaux's choice of entrance music: Massive Attack feat. Mos Def - I Against I. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruthman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Morleaux manages to avoid it.
Morleaux throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Ruthman misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Reijo Ruthman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Morleaux ducks under a wild hook from Ruthman.
Ruthman cracks Morleaux with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Morleaux tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ruthman was well out of range. Poor timing from Morleaux.

Ruthman cracks Morleaux with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Morleaux connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Morleaux rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ruthman moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Morleaux gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Ruthman.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Ruthman manages to get back to half guard.
Ruthman wants to improve his position but Morleaux is controlling well.

Morleaux is pressing down on Ruthman's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ruthman is holding on for now.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

and Morleaux counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ruthman won't be happy with that.
Morleaux content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
A big left from Ruthman misses.

Ruthman takes a swing at Morleaux's ribcage but misses.

Morleaux throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ruthman counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Morleaux is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Ruthman lands with a kick to the temple. Morleaux shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Ruthman avoids a punch combination nicely.

Morleaux shoots in for a takedown but Ruthman shows good takedown defense.
Morleaux closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ruthman circles away.

Morleaux shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Morleaux showed some decent athleticism there.
Ruthman is looking for a sweep. Morleaux is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Ruthman has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Morleaux. Oh but Ruthman has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Morleaux goes limp - he's gone! Ruthman jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
