The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tassen lands with a good body shot.
Tassen ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Tassen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Carmichael sprawls well. Carmichael wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tassen gets slowly back to his feet.

Tassen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

That was a close round but I would say that Justin Carmichael will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tassen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Carmichael is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Tassen postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Tassen is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Carmichael is controlling him.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

That's time! Carmichael's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
