The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cunningham shoots for a double leg takedown but Blassing sprawls well. He's pushed Cunningham's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Cunningham throws a series of strikes that have Blassing backpedaling.

It looks like Gam Blassing has been cut.

Cunningham darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Cunningham winds up and cracks Blassing with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Blassing is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cunningham is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Blassing is hurt! He's hurt bad - Cunningham fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Blassing from any more punishment! Congratulations to Cunningham! Great finish!
