Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sergey Aksenov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Valtteri Tammi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aksenov comes to the cage accompanied by "Only Tools And Corpses" by Gorerotted. Valtteri Tammi has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Sergey Aksenov's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aksenov misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sergey Aksenov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aksenov throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tammi.
Aksenov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tammi.
Tammi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Aksenov sprawls well. Aksenov wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tammi gets slowly back to his feet.
Aksenov displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tammi.

Aksenov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tammi sprawls well initially but Aksenov persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Aksenov takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Aksenov is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tammi is just riding it out for now. Aksenov eventually gives up the hold.
Aksenov is taking a breather. Tammi says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Aksenov takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Tammi is trying to get back to full guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Aksenov in particular looking to stall.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Aksenov's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Sergey Aksenov just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

and Aksenov counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Tammi's guard now.

Tammi wants to sweep but Aksenov has passed to side control!

Aksenov is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Tammi will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Tammi is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Aksenov is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Aksenov is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Tammi doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Aksenov counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Tammi's guard now.

Tammi has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Aksenov is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Tammi.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Tammi tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Aksenov presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tammi can't escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Tammi has left one of his arms exposed and Aksenov doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Tammi screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
