Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jerry Roger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nils Dacke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Jerry Roger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nils Dacke!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roger shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dacke as he jumps to the side.
Dacke looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Roger fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dacke sprawls well initially but Roger persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Roger perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Dacke is trying to stand.
Roger sitting and controlling from the half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Roger seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Dacke for as long as he can get away with.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jerry Roger just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Roger looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Dacke!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Roger has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Dacke is trying to stand.
Roger looking to control and managing it successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jerry Roger just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Roger is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Dacke's half guard.
Dacke is trying to control but can't.
Roger controlling the pace.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Roger is looking to advance position but Dacke won't allow it.
Roger is trying to control the action in half guard but Dacke is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Dacke is trying to stand.
Roger stalling.
Dacke has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Roger is working away from the top position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Roger's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Roger shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dacke but Dacke pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Roger throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dacke was covering up waiting for the punch and Roger finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Roger is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Dacke thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Roger trying to control the position from guard on top but Dacke is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Dacke is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Roger not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Dacke wants to stand and escape but Roger is having none of it.
Roger content to stall in guard here.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jerry Roger just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Roger fails with the takedown.

Roger closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dacke did well to prevent Roger getting side control.
Roger with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Dacke won't allow Roger to pass to mount.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Roger wants to take a breather but Dacke is having none of it.

Dacke holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Roger in particular looking to stall.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jerry Roger just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Dacke shoots for a double leg takedown but Roger sprawls well. He's pushed Dacke's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dacke throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Roger sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Roger darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Roger wants to free his trapped foot but Dacke is holding on for dear life with his legs.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Roger wants to control but Dacke is keeping him busy.
Roger is controlling the pace.
Jerry Roger overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Dacke moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Roger sitting in guard, not really doing much.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jerry Roger dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Dacke closes the distance and pushes Roger back into the cage.
Dacke tries to pull guard but Roger holds him up against the cage and eventually Dacke drops back down to his feet.
Come on Roger - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Dacke fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Roger is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Dacke pulls him back up using the underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Roger ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Roger no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Roger working for a triangle but Dacke defends it easily.
Dacke throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Roger works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Dacke really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Roger. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Roger looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Roger escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dacke gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Dacke must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Roger is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dacke defends well.

Roger has his foot on Dacke's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dacke works his way back into a safe position though.

Dacke avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Roger looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Roger pushes Dacke off and scrambles back to his feet.
Dacke is looking to land body kicks.

Roger closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dacke missing with punches from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Roger looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Dacke is not content to let Roger control the position.
Roger works his foot free and advances to mount.
Roger controlling the pace for now.
Jerry Roger is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Roger prevents Dacke from getting the reversal.
Nils Dacke has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Roger controlling his opponent.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jerry Roger showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Roger, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
