Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Achilles The Immortal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maximillian Nero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Nero drives through with a takedown into guard.

Nero got a little sloppy there for a moment and The Immortal has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nero has managed to get both his arms back between The Immortal 's legs - danger averted.

The Immortal has his foot on Nero's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nero works his way back into a safe position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

The Immortal leaves Nero with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Nero shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with The Immortal but The Immortal pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nero throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around The Immortal 's waist but The Immortal gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nero off to one side.
Achilles The Immortal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maximillian Nero.
Horrible takedown by Nero or perhaps it was just good defense by The Immortal which made him look bad.

The Immortal drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Nero manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now The Immortal has Nero in his guard.

The Immortal working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nero doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nero manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The Immortal drops back, looking for a kneebar! Nero looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Nero looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Nero!
