The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zombie tries to clinch there but Blyer circles away.
Zombie tries to clinch up.
Zombie pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Blyer misses with a jab, cross combination.

Zombie looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Zombie thows a huge punch but Blyer dodges it nicely.
Zombie has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Zombie.
Zombie steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Blyer.
Blyer throws a hook but Zombie avoids it easily.
Blyer showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Zombie.
Zombie takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Blyer instigates a clinch.
Zombie tries to stall but Blyer uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Blyer is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Zombie tries for a takedown. No joy.
Zombie looks gassed!

Blyer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Blyer misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Zombie.
Zombie fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Blyer avoids it really well and circles away.
Rocky Blyer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Zombie.
Blyer throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Zombie on the wrong end of a nice jab.

It looks like John Zombie has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Blyer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Blyer bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Zombie's head backwards.
BOOM! Blyer lands a beautiful left hook that drops Zombie. Zombie tries to recover but Blyer is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Zombie lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
