PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nate Klock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Money Floyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Floyd has chosen Better Believe It as his entrance music. The key to victory for Nate Klock has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nate Klock!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Money Floyd!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Radbod Blank and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klock stuffs the takedown.
Nate Klock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Floyd swats away the attempt to clinch by Klock.
Klock doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Floyd counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Floyd gets a trip takedown into half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Floyd gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Klock tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Floyd decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Klock's guard.

Floyd stands up from Klock's guard - Floyd perhaps looking for a knockout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Klock lands a nice shot that snaps Floyd's head back.


It looks like Money Floyd has been cut.
Klock shoots and misses
and Floyd counters with an inside leg kick.

Floyd feints and as Klock raises his hands in defense, Floyd changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Klock throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Floyd prevents Klock from getting back to his feet.

Klock has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Floyd can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Klock utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Floyd gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Floyd shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Klock is breathing heavily.

Floyd is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Floyd is trying to work for a kimura but Klock is defending well.

Floyd is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Klock is just riding it out for now. Floyd eventually gives up the hold.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Floyd feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Klock looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Floyd passes into half guard.
Floyd slips a nice elbow through Klock's hands, connecting with Klock's forehead.

Floyd is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Klock is trying to maintain the position but Floyd is very close to passing his half guard.
Klock wants to get back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Floyd decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Floyd drives through and clinches with Klock against the ropes.

Klock shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Floyd counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Klock tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Floyd smiles and moves away.

and Floyd counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Floyd.

Floyd has gone for a leg lock! Klock slips out almost immediately though and dives into Floyd's guard.

Klock wants to control from the top but Floyd keeps moving.
Klock tries to free his leg and advance position but Floyd is retaining full guard.

Floyd has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Klock off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Klock closes the distance looking to clinch

and Floyd counters by clinching up.

Klock gets underhooks to prevent Floyd's takedown attempt.

Klock is trying to break the clinch but Floyd is controlling him.

Klock tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Klock pushes off an throws an elbow but Floyd leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes.

Floyd tightens his grip and picks Klock up, before dumping him to the ground. Klock manages to land in guard.

Floyd drops back, looking for a kneebar! Klock looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Klock looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Klock!

Floyd dodges the ground and pound from Klock.
Klock lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Floyd down.
Floyd is looking for a sweep.
Floyd tries to escape but Klock is in control.

Floyd is working to avoid the ground and pound but Klock connects with a decent elbow.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Klock wants to control but Floyd is keeping him busy.
Floyd wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.

Money Floyd showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Klock's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Klock is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Floyd is controlling him.
Money Floyd has got the better of the ground game so far.

Klock looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Klock really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Floyd thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and Floyd counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Klock!
Klock is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Floyd fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Floyd unloads with some shots from mount but Klock bucks and avoids them well.

Floyd jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Klock is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Klock and Floyd has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Floyd is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Klock is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

and Floyd decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Klock's guard.
Floyd connects with a couple of short punches.
Klock will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Floyd shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Klock's guard.

Floyd throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Floyd counters by moving into the clinch.
Klock tries to circle away but Floyd has him pinned against the ropes.

Floyd manages to pull guard.

Floyd is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Klock rolls with it to try and escape but Floyd cranks on the arm and Klock is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 4, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Money Floyd! Money Floyd retains his middleweight title!
