The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wettermark throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Wettermark misses with a double jab.
Kerlinko throws a solid leg kick but Wettermark takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kerlinko.
Kerlinko misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kerlinko closes the distance and clinches up with Wettermark, looking for a takedown. Kerlinko pushes Wettermark against the cage but Wettermark circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Wettermark tries to clinch but Kerlinko moves out of range.
Wettermark missing with a left hand there. Kerlinko was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Kerlinko shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kerlinko looking to pass the guard.

Kerlinko drops back, looking for a kneebar! Wettermark looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Wettermark looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Wettermark!
Kerlinko is trying to work for a sweep but Wettermark has mounted him!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kerlinko really wants to buck Wettermark off and get back to his feet.
Kerlinko is desperately trying to improve his position but Wettermark has a good base and remains in mount.
Wettermark breaks from Kerlinko's wrist control and lands an elbow.

It looks like Chester Kerlinko has been cut.
Kerlinko is trying to escape the mount.
Wettermark with the ground and pound from mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kerlinko keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Kerlinko is working hard here to advance position.
The referee warns Kerlinko that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
