Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Nickerson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mitchell Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nickerson's entrance music is I Stand Alone. A fine choice. The key to victory for Vincent Nickerson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freeman shoots in for a double leg but Nickerson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Nickerson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Freeman scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Nickerson tries to roll over but Freeman keeps him under control.
Freeman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Freeman closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Freeman decides to stand up, so the ref orders Nickerson to his feet.
Nickerson scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Nickerson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Nickerson throws an overhand right that lands on Freeman's shoulder, as Freeman tries to avoid the shot.
Freeman gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Freeman fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Freeman lands a left hand that snaps the head of Nickerson backwards.
Freeman breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Freeman uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nickerson.
Nickerson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Nickerson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Freeman moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Freeman shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nickerson's guard.
Nickerson wants to sweep here but Freeman controlling him for the moment.
Freeman is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Freeman throws a lazy right hand but Nickerson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Nickerson lands with an uppercut that bounces Freeman off the cage and back into rage.

Nickerson is in a horrible position here. Freeman smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Freeman is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Nickerson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Nickerson shrugs it off.

Freeman lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Nickerson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Freeman stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Nickerson slaps away a takedown attempt from Freeman, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Nickerson is looking to clinch but Freeman is avoiding it.

Freeman shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Freeman was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Nickerson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Freeman defends well.

Freeman is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Freeman looking to sit in guard and control but Nickerson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Freeman looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Nickerson trying to control the position from guard on top but Freeman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Nickerson passes into half guard.
Nickerson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Freeman's head.
Freeman is trying to maintain the position but Nickerson is very close to passing his half guard.
Freeman is looking for a sweep. Nickerson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Mitchell Freeman is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Nickerson winds up and cracks Freeman with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Vincent Nickerson.
I think Freeman has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
