Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jin Kazama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drew Carpenter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kazama's entrance music is Mamma said Knock you out. A fine choice. Carpenter is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Let The Sunshine In. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jin Kazama!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Drew Carpenter!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kazama gets caught flat footed, as Carpenter shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Carpenter throwing strikes but missing.
Carpenter throwing strikes from guard but Kazama blocks nicely.
Carpenter throws a strike but Kazama rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Carpenter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kazama will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kazama wants to control from the top but Carpenter keeps moving.
Kazama stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carpenter swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kazama takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Jin Kazama is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Carpenter shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Kazama counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Jin Kazama has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Drew Carpenter.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jin Kazama will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

I would just about give that final round to Drew Carpenter.
I think Carpenter has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
