The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Martinez steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Box.
Martinez drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Box throws a hook to the side of Martinez's head but Martinez sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Martinez throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A looping hook to the body misses from Martinez. Box does a little dance to reset his feet.
Box bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Martinez's head.

It looks like Rudy Martinez has been cut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Box is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Martinez.

Box throws a jab but it's blocked by Martinez.
Box throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Martinez sees it coming and avoids it easily.

A slow jab from Box misses its intended target.
Box throws a looping overhand right but Martinez ducks down to avoid it.
Martinez throws the left hand but Box avoids the punch easily.
Box throws a jab but it's blocked by Martinez.
Box might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
