The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
le fay takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
le fay throws a jab when Harris was well out of range.
le fay throws an overhand right that lands on Harris's shoulder, as Harris tries to avoid the shot.
Harris throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Harris scores with a punch to the head.
le fay throws a hook but Harris blocks it.
Harris throws a chopping leg kick but le fay manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

le fay shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

le fay is looking for a kimura but Harris is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for le fay to get the leverage.
le fay thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Harris has one foot on le fay's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
le fay shoots in for a double leg but Harris sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Harris throws a lazy right hand but le fay sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
le fay moves out of range of the strikes.
Harris misses with a few strikes there.

le fay throws a good cross that connects.
Harris lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

le fay is leaning against Harris and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for le fay.
le fay drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Harris gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Harris has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Harris's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Harris scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Harris throws the left hand but le fay avoids the punch easily.
Harris moves away from the strike by le fay.

le fay throws out a loose jab but Harris uses good head movement to avoid it.

swg le fay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Harris misses with a wild body shot.
Harris uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from le fay.
Harris slaps away a takedown attempt from le fay, before circling back to the center of the mat.

le fay tries for a takedown but Harris sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Harris uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from le fay.
Harris pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

le fay won't let Harris get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Harris is squirming around, avoiding le fay's attempts to control the action.

le fay goes for an armbar but Harris turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Harris.

le fay throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Harris escapes and throws le fay's legs to the side, diving into side control!
le fay tries to bench press Harris off him but Harris keeps the position.

Harris decides to stand back up.
A big left from le fay misses.
le fay might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
le fay misses with a jab, cross combination.
Harris slips a jab from le fay.
le fay throws a lazy right hand but Harris sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

le fay looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Harris tries to kick le fay off but le fay keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
le fay wants to take a breather but Harris is having none of it.

le fay is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
le fay missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
