The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Fedor Mirinova and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasuta fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mahtulak avoids it really well and circles away.
Vasuta tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mahtulak swivels and escapes.
No luck for Vasuta with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ilja Vasuta. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Vasuta looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Mahtulak leaves Vasuta with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Mahtulak fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
It looks like Ilja Vasuta has been cut.
Mahtulak stuffs the takedown attempt from Vasuta. Vasuta gets slowly back to his feet.
Vasuta is breathing heavily.

Mahtulak is looking to slow Vasuta down with leg kicks.
Vasuta chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Mahtulak can pounce on him.
Vasuta takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Vasuta. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

An inside leg kick lands from Mahtulak.
Mahtulak has Vasuta up against the cage in a clinch.
Vasuta is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Mahtulak's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mahtulak feints and then cracks Vasuta's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Vasuta down.
Mahtulak drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Mahtulak stands up from Vasuta's guard - Mahtulak perhaps looking for a knockout.
Mahtulak turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Vasuta shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Mahtulak counters with an inside leg kick.
Mahtulak throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Vasuta was covering up waiting for the punch and Mahtulak finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Mahtulak avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mahtulak wanted to stand there but Vasuta had control of the position.

Vasuta is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Mahtulak rolls with it to try and escape but Vasuta cranks on the arm and Mahtulak is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
