A head kick from Rua lands but Monson takes it in his stride.
It looks like Jeff Monson has been cut.
Mauricio Rua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Monson fails to land with a series of punches.
Monson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rua manages to avoid it.
Monson takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Rua drops Monson with a beautiful combination! Monson stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Rua is looking for the KO!

Rua walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Monson drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Rua swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Monson's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
