The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fillipovic throws a jab when Polo was well out of range.
Polo closes the distance and clinches up with Fillipovic, looking for a takedown. Polo pushes Fillipovic against the cage but Fillipovic circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Polo displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Fillipovic throws out the jab.

Polo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Polo controlling the position easily from mount.
Fillipovic is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Polo throwing strikes here but Fillipovic is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Fillipovic tries to hold on but Polo postures up.
Polo landing punches.
Polo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Fillipovic is desperately trying to improve his position but Polo has a good base and remains in mount.
Fillipovic is bucking up trying to escape but Polo cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Polo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Fillipovic tries to hold on but Polo postures up.
Polo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Polo looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Fillipovic is trying desperately to improve position.
Fillipovic holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Polo tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Polo scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Fillipovic?
Polo throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Fillipovic because Polo loaded up on that one.

Polo has control of Fillipovic's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Fillipovic regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Fillipovic in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

Polo is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Polo extends the arm and Fillipovic is forced to tap!
