The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nobis lands a left and a right that send Williams crashing to the mat, dazed. Nobis thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Tyler Williams has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Williams shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Williams is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Nobis is just riding it out for now. Williams eventually gives up the hold.

Williams is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Nobis defends it well.

Williams is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Nobis sees it coming and defends easily.
Nobis tries to kick Williams off but Williams keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Williams shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nobis as he avoids it easily.
Nobis rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Williams moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Nobis tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Nobis has Williams up against the cage in a clinch.

Nobis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Williams closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Williams is looking for a kimura here.
Williams is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Nobis reverses the position - he's now on top in Williams's guard.
Nobis would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Nobis stands up and waves to Williams to follow him.
Nobis throws a right and a left that Williams avoids nicely.
Nobis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Williams manages to avoid it.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Williams.
Nobis throws a body punch but Williams moves out of range.
Williams looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nobis is fending him off so far but Williams persists. Nope, Nobis circles away and we're back to standing.

Nobis moves in looking to clinch but Williams pushes him off.

Nobis stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Williams closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nobis circles away.

Nobis tries to clinch but Williams is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nobis's corner calls for a 1-2. Nobis obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Nobis ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Nobis keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nobis looks to land a combination but Williams avoids it well.
Nobis scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Williams doesn't seem bothered though.
Williams dodges the punch combination from Nobis.
Nobis throws a big shot that misses.
Williams fails with the takedown.
Nobis cracks Williams with an open hand slap.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Nobis, as that shot connected.
Williams tries to move into range but Nobis moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nobis lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Nobis lands with a big left! Williams is wobbled badly! Nobis comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Williams to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
