Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gabriel Picasso! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matt Watson! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Picasso throws a sloppy head kick and Watson moves out of range easily. Picasso throws a head kick that misses. Watson blocks a head kick by Picasso.

Watson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Watson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Watson is looking to sweep but instead, Picasso has passed into half guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Watson, into his guard. Watson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Picasso is one step ahead there. Picasso avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Picasso stopping the sweep attempt from Watson. Picasso stands up and waves to Watson to follow him.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Picasso is defending against the submission attempts here by Watson.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Picasso lands with a kick to the temple. Watson shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Watson shoots in and drives through. Picasso sprawls well. Picasso plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Picasso misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Watson trying to control but he's not successful this time. Watson is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Picasso to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Picasso shrugs it off. Picasso is squirming around, avoiding Watson's attempts to control the action. Watson is working for a guillotine from mount but Picasso frees his head quite easily.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gabriel Picasso. I think Picasso has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
