The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belfort swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Gagnum.
Gagnum shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Belfort as he avoids it easily.
Gagnum shoots in for a double leg but Belfort sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Belfort lands with a good body shot.
Belfort circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gagnum will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Befor Belfort has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Birger Gagnum.
Gagnum looks gassed!
Gagnum throws a low kick, looking for Belfort's leg but Belfort calmly moves out of range.
Befor Belfort seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Belfort lands with a shot to the body.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Belfort knocks Gagnum out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
